The SMS Lady Bears set a school and Missouri Valley Conference record with 19 three pointers at Indiana State on Sunday and they needed every last one of them in an 80-77. Jennie Lingor blasted a three with 3.7 seconds to go to break a 77-77 tie. The previous school record was 15, which was set in 2002. —-they topped Indiana State 80-77. They improved to 10-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play. Lingor was 5-of-9 from behind the three-point line and finished with 19 points. Guard Kari Koch blasted six three’s and led SMS with 19 points—K.C. Cowgill finished with 16 points. The Lady Bears are now 10-5 overall and 5-1 in the MVC. They beat Illinois State on the road 80-57 on Friday.
