Bond Returns From Tsunami-Stricken Areas Of Southeast Asia

January 17, 2005 By admin Leave a Comment

Senator Kit Bond has spent the weekend in Indonesia, looking at tsunami damage. He says the disaster has opened the door for discussion between the two governments. He tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch it’s time the United States lifted its embargo on military trade with that country. Bond says the United States should help train the Indonesian military so this country will know that country and its people when the next disaster strikes.
