Matt Blunt has taken the oath of office as Missouri’s new Governor. The oath of office was adminstered by State Supreme Court Judge Stephen Limbaugh. Blunt then delivered a nine minute Inaugural Address, talking up the need for change in the way in which government is viewed. He again vowed to make education a top priority of his administration. Also taking the oath were Peter Kinder as Lieutenant Governor, Robyn Carnahan as Secretary of State, Sarah Steelman as State Treasurer, and Jay Nixon as Attorney General.
