The SMS Lady Bears lost their first MVC game of the season on Monday, falling at Northern Iowa 65-55. Northern Iowa’s Alex Cook posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Jenni Lingor led SMS with 16 points. The Lady Bears fall to 7-4, 1-1 in MVC play. SMS hosts Evansville on Thursday……..The UMKC women lost their conference opener last night, falling to Chicago State 58-48. Senior Katie Houlehan led the Kangaroos with 14 points. UMKC falls to 3-8 on the year and 0-1 in Mid-Con play.
