This past weekend was a deadly one on Missouri’s roads. Nine people died during the two-day New Year’s Holiday counting period. And, Captain Chris Ricks with the State Highway Patrol says all nine were not wearing seatbelts. He says driving-while-intoxicated numbers also were not good with the patrol making 121 DWI arrests over the holiday weekend. But Ricks does admit that overall, Missourians are getting better. He says seat belt usage is up and traffic deaths are down about 120 for the year.
