The woman accused of murdering pregnant Skidmore resident Bobbi Jo Stinnett and taking her baby has waived her preliminary hearing in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kansas, and will appear in federal court in Missouri next week. Lisa Montgomery of Melvern, Kansas, is scheduled to appear in a Kansas City, Missouri, courtroom next Tuesday for her initial appearance on charges that she murdered Stinnett and kidnapped the victim’s baby. Montgomery’s detention hearing will be held next Thursday. Montgomery remains in federal custody in Leavenworth, Kansas.
