Kline Signs 2-Year Deal With O’s

December 21, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Reliever Steve Kline has, who wasn’t offered arbitration by the Cardinals, has signed a two year deal with the Orioles. In 67 appearances in 2004, Kline had a 1.79 ERA coming out of the bullpen. Kline spent four seasons with the Cardinals and was often the most vocal player on the roster. Kline drew the ire of manager Tony LaRussa when he flashed an obscene gesture from the bullpen when he wasn’t inserted in to a game in 2004. He was also known for wearing the same hat throughout the season, which was noticeable filthy by the end of the season.
