Mizzou Gets Past Indiana

December 20, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri Tigers had to scratch, claw, scramble and fight to earn their sixth win of the season, a 56-53 victory over Indiana at Mizzou Arena. The Tigers took a 6-4 lead with 17:11 to go in the first half and it was the last lead they’d have until Linas Kleiza hit a free throw with :56 left in the game. Kleiza hit another free throw with :32 remaining to give Mizzou its final lead. Indiana led 31-16 at the half and extended their lead to 17-points when Ryan Tapak hit the first basket of the second half. Missouri then clamped down and went on a 16-2 run to get themselves within three points with 10:45 to go in the game. After shooting 23.1 percent from the field in the first half, Missouri made 10-of-12 shots in the second half. Missouri hit 16-of-23 free throws in the second half. The win improved the Tigers’ record to 6-4 on the season.
