Man Graduates from UMSL…While In Iraq

Not many people who have graduated from Missouri colleges and universities this month have done so from so far away.Keith Lucas has picked up his degree in mass communications from the University of Missouri-St.Louis by proxy. His family accepted his degree for him while Lucas watched on a two-way satellite hook-up from Iraq. He’s a trauma specialist for a National Guard Engineer Battalion. Lucas spoke to the graduation audience by way of the satellite hookup. His unit might be home in February.
