Dante Hall set the tone for the game on Sunday when he took the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown. Kansas City rolled on to a 45-17 win over Denver at Arrowhead Stadium. Second-year running back Larry Johnson racked up his third straight 100-yard rushing performance with 151 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his scores came in the first half, as the Chiefs built a 28-10 lead in the first half. Kansas City built its lead to 35-7 in the third quarter with a 48-yard hookup from Trent Green to Samie Parker. Green finished 16-of-19 for 224 yards and three touchdowns. He hit Eddie Kennison with an 18 yard pass in the fourth quarter to give the Chiefs a 42-10 lead. Kennison caught seven passes—two of them touchdowns—for 101 yards receiving. The Chiefs have now won three straight games and improved to 6-8.
