University of Missouri place kicker Joe Tantarelli is quitting the team and leaving MU at the end of the semester. Tantarelli was a walk-on and took over the kicking duties after Alex Petterson left the team. Tantarelli made 10-of-16 field goals—a 45-yarder was his longest of the season. Three of his six misses on the season came in a 17-9 win over Colorado. Tantarelli plans on returning to California to finish up his degree and will not pursue football.
