Conflict Of Interest Questions Raised Regarding Former Homeland Security Chief

December 15, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The former Homeland Security Director for the state, who resigned abruptly last week, has gone to work for a company that did business with his agency. Tim Daniel will join Convergence Communications of St. Louis. Convergence twice tried to get the state to buy its Internet service. The bid eventually went to another company, but the other company later hired Convergence as a subcontractor. A spokesman for incoming Governor Matt Blunt has told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Blunt might cancel that deal because of a possible conflict of interest.
