A member of the Missouri Tigers football team is in trouble with the law. Freshman linebacker Alvin Newhouse has been arrested on charges of forcible rape and forcible sodomy. The 19-year-old Newhouse was arraigned Monday on charges related to the alleged attack in his dorm room. Bail has been set at $60,000. University of Missouri Police say the alleged incident occurred early Saturday morning. Newhouse’s guardian in Dallas, Texas, says he’s been told by Newhouse that the player did have sexual intercourse with a woman, and that the sex was concensual.
