Chris Chandler will get the start for the Rams on Sunday when they face the Panthers at Carolina. Regular starter Marc Bulger is out for at least one week with a bone bruise on his throwing shoulder. Bulger suffered the same injury during St. Louis’ loss to the Dolphins on October 24, but didn’t miss any games because the Rams had a bye the next week. Chandler stepped in when Bulger left Sunday’s game against the 49ers in the first quarter. Chandler was 18-of-27 for 216 yards and a touchdown in the 16-6 win. The Rams have also brought Jamie Martin back to serve as Chandler’s backup. Martin been out of football since October of 2003 and hasn’t played in a game since 2002….The Rams are back in first place in the NFC West despite a lack-luster 6-6 record. The Seahawks lost to the Cowboys 43-39 to drop them back into a tie for first in the division. The Rams actually have the lead in the division race because they beat Seattle in both meetings this season. St. Louis is 5-0 in NFC West games and, along with the Seahawks, lead the second-place Cardinals by two games with four games remaining.
