One of the Daimler-Chrysler plants in Fenton is due for a shutdown soon so Chrysler can reduce inventories and so the company can install the re-tooled equipment needed for the next models. Chrysler says it will close the plant sometime late this month or early next year. The Fenton plant being shut down during re-tooling makes minivans.
