The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) announced on Thursday that the boys and girls high school championships will switch venues but remain in Columbia. The Show-Me Showdown will move from the Hearnes Center to the new Mizzou Arena. The basketball championships have been held in Columbia exclusively since 1992 and will remain there until at least 2006, when the current agreement expires. MSHSAA, which is based in Columbia, would like the championships to remain there beyond 2006.
