Missouri Farm Bureau Praises Bush Choice To Head USDA

December 2, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri Farm Bureau President Charlie Kruse says the choice of Nebraska Governor Mike Johanns to lead the U.S. Agriculture Department is a good one, considering Johanns background growing up on a farm and leading an agricultural state such as Nebraska. Kruse, himself, was considered the leading candidate for Secretary of Agriculture until he asked the White House to remove his name from the list. Kruse says Johanns should not be seen as a second choice.
