The Missouri Tigers season was certainly a disappointment, but some good news has found its way to a few of the players on the roster. Senior defensive tackle Atiyyah Ellison was honored as an All-Big 12 First Team selection. Ellison had 59 tackles, 12.5 tackles for losses and 2.5 sacks. James Kinney, who set MU’s career tackle record, was a second-team selection along with junior offensive guard Tony Palmer. Defensive lineman C.J. Mosely, safety Jason Simpson and quarterback Brad Smith—all juniors—got honorable mentions. Senior defensive back Shirdonya Mitchell was also an honorable mention.
