Record Kill Number Recorded For Deer Hunting Season

November 29, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri deer hunters shot 222,000-plus deer during the regular firearms season. And Jim Low with the State Conservation Department says not only is that above last year’s harvest, but it broke a two-year-old record. Low says the good weather on the opening weekend contributed to good numbers of hunters able to hunt longer, and that pushed up the numbers. He adds the number of hunting-related accidents was down to just seven with no fatalities.
