November 23, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

In West Plains, Missouri the National Junior College Athletic Association’s national volleyball tournament got underway Monday. SMS-West Plains is the host and 6th seed in the tournament. The Grizzlies opened up with a three-game win over North Idaho and advanced to the second round. Today they’ll play Salt Lake Community College. SMS-West Plains has qualified for the national tournament in six consecutive seasons and made it as far as the title match in 2002, but lost. This marks the fourth time that they’ve hosted the national tournament and will also host it in 2005 and 2006.
