Fresh from their victories on election Day, Missouri Republicans are looking forward to the new legislative session which will see them once again in control of both chambers of the Legislature and in control of the Governor’s office for the first time in a dozen years. State Party Chair Ann Wagner says a lot of initiatives supported by Republicans in recent years will now be signed into law. Wagner points out that while certain pieces of legislation – like litigation reform – were passed in the last couple of years by the House and Senate, they were vetoed by Governor Holden. She says that won’t happen with Matt Blunt in the Governor’s office.
