Highway Patrol Plans Protection For New Governor

November 2, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri Highway Patrol will be watching the election returns in the Governor’s race tonight to see who the Patrol will be protecting over the next four years. In fact, Patrol Spokesman Lieutenant Tim Hull says the protection will start tonight for the two main gubernatorial candidates until the election is decided, and then for the Governor-elect. Hull says Governor Bob Holden will continue to get his protection as well. Hull says the best thing that can happen to a Patrolman who gets the gubernatorial protection duty is … nothing … a quiet tour of duty.
