Tigers Set For Showdown With Nebraska

October 29, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

One memorable October night ended 25 years of frustration. A 41-24 win over Nebraska gave Missouri its first victory over the Huskers since 1978. The Tigers try to make it two in a row over Nebraska on Saturday as the two teams battle in Lincoln. The winner of Saturday’s game will have the inside track at winning the Big 12 North. Both teams enter the game with a 4-3 record overall, and 2-2 in the Big 12. Missouri is coming off a 20-17 loss to Oklahoma State on Homecoming. The Huskers suffered a 45-21 blowout loss to Kansas State last weekend. The Tigers have not won back-to-back games over Nebraska since 1973-74. Saturday’s game kicks off at 11:00.
