Holden Authorizes Missouri’s Participation In Prescription Drug Importation Program

October 28, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Bob Holden has given Missouri the go-ahead to take part in the new I-SaveRx prescription drug importation program – which would allow citizens to buy lower cost prescription drugs from Canada and Europe. Speaking in Chicago at an event with Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, Holden said it only makes sense for Missouri to be a part of this plan. Despite Holden’s authorization of Missouri as a member of this partnership with Illinois and Wisconsin, the federal government has not approved of this new idea.
