At least eight people have been killed in the crash of a commuter airliner short of the Kirksville airport. Five passengers are missing. One of the first EMTs on the scene, Dusty Paige, says two people are known to have survived. He calls their survival “a miracle.” They’re stable at a Kirksville hospital. Soupy weather and muddy fields are hampering searchers looking for more survivors or victims of the crash. The plane was on a flight from St. Louis to Kirksville when it went down.
