Tigers Out Of Polls After Falling At Texas

October 18, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri football team dropped out of the rankings after losing to Texas over the weekend. The Tigers are 28th in the coaches’ poll, 31st in the AP Poll. Mizzou kept Saturday’s game close, but fell short in a 28-20 loss. Missouri outgained Texas on offense 358-299. After falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter, Missouri rallied to tie the game at 14-14 in the second. But the Tigers had trouble stopping Cedric Benson. The Longhorns’ star running back ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns. The loss dropped Missouri into a tie for first place in the Big 12 North with Nebraska. The Tigers return home this weekend. They host Oklahoma State on Homecoming.
