We hear a lot about the Republican and Democrat candidates in the race for Missouri’s U.S. Senate seat … but there are two others running for the office. Many Missourians are familiar with the names of incumbent Republican Senator Bond and Democrat Nancy Farmer, but Libertarian Party Candidate Kevin Tull and the Constitution Party’s Don Griffin probably are not as well known. Tull says Libertarians represent American values because Democrats and Republicans both embrace big government. Those sentiments are echoed by Griffin, who adds the U.S. is ceding too much of its authority to other nations through the United Nations. Both reject the notion that a vote for a third party is a wasted vote, saying the only wasted vote is one cast for a party perceived as the lesser of two evils.
