October 5, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The St. Louis Cardinals begin their postseason run Tuesday afternoon. The Redbirds face the Los Angeles Dodgers in game one of their National League Division Series. Woody Williams faces Odalis Perez. The Cardinals went 4-2 against the Dodgers during the regular season, including 3-0 at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals are making their fourth postseason appearance in five years and fifth in nine years. They are 11-3 all-time in Division Series games. This is the first time the Cards and Dodgers have met in the postseason since 1985, when the Cardinals beat L.A. 4-2 in the NLCS.
