It was the worst season in franchise history, so their 5-0 loss to the White Sox seemed almost fitting. The Royals managed just three hits on Sunday as they lost their franchise-worst 104th game of the season. Third baseman Joe Randa, who isn’t expected to return to the Royals in 2005, got standing ovations before each at bat and went 0-3 with a walk. In two stints for the team, Randy has played eight of his ten major league seasons with the Royals. Zack Greinke got the start for the Royals and got the loss, allowing three runs off seven hits and a walk. He finished the season 8-11 with a 3.97 ERA.
