Missouri linebacker David Richard has been suspended from Saturday’s Big 12 opener against Colorado. Head coach Gary Pinkel was tight-lipped about the decision on Monday, saying only, “He just has been suspended for this game for disciplinary reasons.” Though Pinkel isn’t talking, it is assumed that the suspension stems from Richard’s arrest for marijuana possession on Saturday September 11 by Columbia Police. He and another man were caught with a small bag of pot and a marijuana cigarette in a parking lot at around 2:30 AM. Richard will be replaced by fellow sophomore Marcus Bacon, who has four tackles on the season.
