Cardinals Reach 100 Wins

The St. Louis Cardinals became the first team in baseball to reach 100 wins on Thursday. The Redbirds beat the Brewers 4-2 in Milwaukee. Backup catcher Yadier Molina hit his first career home run in the eighth inning. It turned out to be the game-winner. Hector Luna had four hits for St. Louis. He smacked his third homer of the season in the eighth. Molina and Luna each drove in two runs. Cal Eldred picked up the win after giving up one run in two innings of relief. Jason Isringhausen earned his 45th save of the season.
