The Legislature has failed to override any of Governor Bob Holden’s vetos of bills passed last Spring. The only bill with much of a chance was one that mandated homeowners and home builders engage in dispute resolution to avoid lawsuits. Senate sponsor Peter Kinder says it passed with more than enough votes to override. But he couldn’t hold all of his votes. The bill needed 23 votes for an override.
