The state Fire Marshal’s office is helping investigate a fire atthe downtown square in Lamar. The fire caused heavy damage to a flower shopon the northwest corner of the square Saturday. Firefighters from tendepartments responded to the fire, a couple of hours before dawn on Saturdaymorning. Nobody was hurt. Firefighters were able to stop the fire fromspreading to the Barton County Ambulance District headquarters.
