Jim Edmonds brought the Cardinals offense back to life on Friday. Edmonds hit two two-run home runs and tied a career-high with five RBI, leading the Cardinals to an 8-5 win over the Pirates. Edmonds connected in the first and third innings off Ryan Vogelsong, who gave up six runs in four innings. Jeff Suppan matched his career-high with his 13th win of the season. The Cardinals improved their road record to 42-21, best in the majors.
