A few little mistakes cost the United States a gold medal in women’s gymnastics. Team USA won silver in Tuesday’s team competition, losing by nearly .7 points to Romania. Russia took home the bronze medal. Despite the disappoinment, Terin Humphrey had a good showing. Humphrey, from Bates City, Mo., scored a 9.575 on the uneven bars and a 9.47 on the balance beem. Courtney McCool, also from the Kansas City area, did not compete in any events in the team finals.
