The Southwest Missouri State men’s basketabll team received its third verbal commitment from a high school senior on Tuesday. Derrick Moore, a 6-foot-6 forward out of Lincoln High School in Dallas, said he will sign with SMS in the fall. Moore averaged 12 points and six rebounds per game for Lincoln last year, which came up a basket shy of winning Texas 4A state title. Shane Laurie of Kickapoo and Justin Fuehrmeyer of Francis Howell Central have already given their verbal commitments to SMS.
