Rams Lose In Pre-Season Opener To Bears

The Rams first pre-season game ended in a 13-10 overtime loss to the Bears. Paul Edinger and Jeff Wilkins traded field goals in the first quarter for a 3-3 tie after the first 15-minutes. Chris Chandler led the Rams on a six-play, 86-yard touchdown drive that was capped by a 13-yard pass to Joey Goodspeed. Chandler was 8-9 for 108 yards. Starting quarterback Marc Bulger only played the opening series, going 3-6 for 57 yards. It stayed 10-3 until the Bears scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter . The Rams had a 66-yard punt return for a touchdown from Shaun McDonald called back on a penalty. In overtime Paul Edinger hit a 25-yard field goal to win it… There was more bad news for the Rams offensive line on Thursday. Center Dave Wohlabaugh is expected to miss three months with a hip injury and tackle Kyle Turley could be gone four weeks with a back ailment.
