Columbia native Carl Edwards is moving on up in the world of NASCAR. With Jeff Burton’s decision to leave Roush Racing and join Childress Racing, Roush is promoting Edwards to take over the No. 99 car. Edwards is currently in third place on the NASCAR Truck Series, where he will continue to race the rest of the season. He will make his Nextel Cup debut this weekend in Michigan. Edwards has two truck wins this season.
