August 7, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Royals had their chances on Friday, but could not come up with the big hit. Kansas City left seven runners on base in a 3-0 loss to the Angels. The Royals went zero for eight with runners in scoring position in the first four innings. Anaheim hurler Kelvim Escobar threw seven scoreless innings. The Angels scored all three runs in the fourth inning off Darrell May. Robb Quinlan hit a two-run home run for Anaheim. The Royals have lost five straight.
