The Democratic presidential and vice presidential candidates spend a day campaigning in Missouri – wrapping up their day with a huge rally on the grounds of the State Capitol in Jefferson City. Kerry spoke of his service during the Vietnam War, the current war against terror, and values – saying the word “values” is used too much by politicians, cheapening the meaning of the word. Edwards picked up on that theme, saying Kerry is a man who represents American values through his actions. He added a Kerry-Edwards Administration will make it clear to terrorists that their days are numbered. An estimated crowd of several thousand was on hand for the rally.
