A tradition will continue in St. Louis. Anheuser-Busch will continue to be the name-sponsor of the Cardinals stadium. The new ballpark, which will open in 2006 will be the third to don the name “Busch Stadium” after the two sides agreed to a 20-year extension which was announced yesterday. Anheuser-Busch will have exclusive alcohol sponsorship on all Cardinals radio and TV broadcasts. In commemoration of the event, the construction workers who are building the stadium were treated to lunch and free six-pack of beer. The stadium is expected to open in 2007.
