Most Missourians who follow politics and ballot initiatives are probably looking ahead to Tuesday when two amendment poposals appear on the ballot. But some are looking ahead to November and an initiative of another kind. Amendment 3 is an effort to restore highway funds to their intended purpose. The Missouri Chamber of Commerce was part of the effort to obtain the signatures needed to put the issue on the ballot. Chamber President Dan Mehan says this is needed to restore credibility. The initiative would not allow highway funds to be diverted to other projects.
