The St. Louis Rams opened training camp in Macomb, Illinois on Wednesday with a few changes. The morning practices will now start an hour earlier, which will allow the players more rest time before the afternoon practice. Head coach Mike Martz also indicated that more rest time will be given to players every third day. Orlando Pace was the only glaring absence as he sits out with a contract dispute. The All-Pro tackle missed all of camp last year over money. Arlen Harris got a number of reps on Wednesday as he tries to make the transition to fullback.
