It’s back to the courtroom today for David Zink, who’s defending himself in his murder trial in Osceola. He does not deny killing Amanda Morton, but says he did not plan the murder. Zink says the kidnapping and rape charges are wrong because she was a willing participant. An investigator has testified Zink led police to the place where he buried her. Prosecutors claim Zink rammed Morton’s car with his vehicle on purpose, disabling it so he could pick her up. The incident occurred just off Interstate 44 about three years ago. A jury was chosen in Lafayette County and transported to St. Clair County for the trial.
