Hockey is returning to Kansas City. The United Hockey League will add an expansion team there beginning with the 2004-2005 season. The still unnamed team will play its games at Kemper. In 2001, the Kansas City Blades folded and that was the last time Kansas City had professional hockey. The Missouri River otters are the other Missouri team in the UHL.
