This morning former Mizzou basketball coach Norm Stewart, Kentucky coach Tubby Smith and Duke coach Mike Kryziewski will be in Kansas city to drum up support for a new arena in downtown Kansas City. The arena, if approved, would also house the office for the National Association of Basketball coaches and would potentially the college basketball hall of fame. The NABC will raise $10-million for the cause if voters approve a financing plan next month. Kansas City area voters will be asked to pass a measure that would add taxes to things like hotels and rental cars to help pay for the proposed arena.
