Royals Come Up Short In San Diego

July 3, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

The Royals came up just short on Friday. K.C. rallied for four runs in the ninth, but still lost to the Padres 7-5. San Diego smacked a season-high five home runs in the victory. Phil Neven hit two home runs. Brian Giles added a three-run shot. Ken Harvey and Matt Stairs went deep for Kansas City. The Royals have now lost 10 of their last 13 games, and at 29-48 own the worst record in the American League.
