Not even a two-hour rain delay could cool the Cardinal bats Friday night. The Redbirds waited until the rain drops stopped falling, then pounded Seattle 11-2. The Cards came out swinging after the delay. St. Louis scored three runs in the third, two in the fifth and four in the sixth. John Mabry and Albert Pujols drove in three runs apiece. Reggie Sanders drove in two runs. With the win, the Cardinals maintained their three-game lead over the Cubs in the N.L. Central.
