The Cards scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth and beat Oakland 5-4, sweeping the three-game series with the A’s. The Cardinals loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth. Marlon Anderson’s ground ball to second got away from Marco Scutaro, allowing two runs to score. Reggie Sanders then brought in the game-winning run with a single to center.
