Missouri’s Broshuis Named All-American

June 17, 2004 By admin Leave a Comment

Missouri righthander Garrett Broshuis has been named a third team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Broshuis was 11-0 with a 2.61 ERA and recorded 91 strikeouts. Broshuis is just the third pitcher in Missouri history to win 11 games in a season. He’s the first to accomplish the feat since 1979. Broshuis is Missouri’s first baseball All-American since Ryan Stegall in 2000. Broshuis was taken in the fifth round of last week’s Major League Draft by the San Francisco Giants.
